Ryoha~~ Today, after watching the sunset at the Sydney Observatory and looking for a place to eat, I heard about a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal of light meat wrapped in egg. So, I visited Open Sesame Zetland, a Sydney restaurant with a charming interior and a meal that, although new to me, was deliciously prepared for everyone.
3/6 Defries Ave, Zetland NSW 2017 Australia
Open Sesame Zetland is located near Moore Park. Open until 10 PM, a relatively early closing time for Sydney, it’s a convenient place for many people to visit. The diverse menu attracts many visitors, not just for a meal but also for a quick drink.

Open Sesame Zetland offers a wide variety of dishes, including wraps, platters, and kid-friendly options, making it a great choice for those struggling to decide what to eat. The platter, in particular, offers a variety of culinary delights, including meat, salad, and cream sauce. The reasonable price was another plus, making it a truly enjoyable experience.

We ordered the BBQ Mixed Plate, intending to have a quick meal. Initially, we were concerned that the portion might be small and considered ordering more if needed. However, the bread included in the platter was delicious and filling, so we didn’t feel like we were missing out at all.

The BBQ Mixed Platter from Open Sesame Zetland featured three types of meat dipped in sauce, served with salad, and wrapped in bread. It felt a bit like Korean bulgogi. While the cubed meat had a firm texture, and the salad had a slightly saltier flavor, the naan-like wraps helped to tone down the spiciness, allowing us to enjoy the meal without feeling overwhelmed.
This dish is also a great option for those who want to savor the natural flavors of their food without having to worry about wrapping it up. The meat itself had a great texture and lacked any particular odor, making it a great option for those with a specific aversion to certain cuts, as well as those with a strong odor.

This drink, called Berry Town, had a texture reminiscent of fresh fruit and a rich, voluminous flavor. It was a smooth drink, blending various fruits, vanilla, and juice.
The blend of various fruit flavors was particularly appealing, and it was as captivating as the food itself, with a subtle sweetness and refreshing taste. I thought it would be a great way to pair it with food. I initially considered ordering a carbonated drink, but this drink was so much more appealing that I decided to give it a try.

Open sesame Zetland, a Sydney restaurant, offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but the restaurant itself isn’t particularly spacious, so I personally found the outdoor tables more convenient.
The indoor tables are ideal for two people, while the outdoor tables can accommodate four or more. Considering the luggage I’ll be carrying around while traveling, I felt it would be a good idea to sit outside. If it’s cold or rainy, you’ll have no choice but to take an inside table, but if an outside table is available, I highly recommend it.
Open sesame Zetland offers quality food and is open late, making it a great place to enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the Sydney sunset or nightscape. If you’re looking for a great place to eat during your trip to Sydney, why not try a meal at Open sesame Zetland?
